A fabulous mid C19th neo-classical semi elliptical carved giltwood console/side table, finished in gilt and colourful decoration, after a design by Robert Adam. The colourful marble top with no breaks or damage, above a frieze with a carved arched frieze centered by rossettes and raised panels with bold oval paterai, above elegant legs with carved lappets, swags and further rosettes, joined by a shaped stretcher and all raised on carved hairy ball and claw feet. Circa 1840. In excellent condition.
