A good quality 19th Century Neo-classical buff terracotta Plinth/Column, with a stepped moulded shoulder above a border of intertwined grapevines with 4 lion masks with rings in the mouths and acanthus leaves, terminating in a stepped moulded plinth with egg and dart moulding. Stamped Farnley Iron Co. (Founded by the Armitage Brothers). Fine quality and excellent form. Circa 1850.
