A rare C18th painted life size dummy board of naive charm, featuring an eccentric gentleman/ possibly an explorer with leather hat and jacket, holding a satchel under his left arm and holding a monkey in his right. Still retaining all the original decoration and crusted varnish surface. 1760. A very rare example having a dummy board of this scale and unusual subject. Circa 1760.
