A wonderful early 19th Century Chinese export polychrome painted trunk, the leather decorated with chinoiserie scenes of figures in different activities with foliate borders and red ground. The whole brass bound and studded, with camphor interior. A rare example given the vibrant colour and high quality detailed decoration. Circa 1820.
