C16th Italian Marble Urn
A rare 16th Century Renaissance marble urn, superbly executed with a vitruvian scroll border separated by carved bunches of grapes and fruits, above a wrythen body featuring classical carved masks (Bacchus, Mercury, Medusa and Cybele) to each side and terminating in acanthus carved base. Circa 1560.
In excellent original condition with only minor weathering and no damage.
